Nam Douglass
Raleigh Immigration Attorney
Nam Douglass has focused her career on providing personalized customer service and knowledgeable advice to her clients. She has practiced both family and immigration law and has experience in handling complex business immigration cases as well as family-based immigration needs. She is a member of both the National and the Carolina’s chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Nam received her J.D. from Campbell Law School, graduating cum laude, and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in August 2011. She was a member of two national moot court competition teams, including the UC Davis Asylum & Refuge Law National Moot Court Competition, the only national competition devoted exclusively to asylum and refugee law. She served as an academic teaching scholar and worked as an intern with the North Carolina Department of Justice, the University of North Carolina Center for Civil Rights, the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, and the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Nam’s law degree is complemented by a B.A. in History with a minor in Economics and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, both from Virginia Tech. She also has ten years of professional business experience working with communities, non-profit organizations and individuals across North Carolina on community, economic, and business development issues. Nam and her family have lived in Raleigh since 1998. Her children are avid soccer fans and practice Tae Kwon Do, which she has also taken up in hopes of keeping up with them!
